Buying Tips/Buying Baby Toys

Buying Baby Toys

A baby’s life is a charmed one!

With so many fantastic toys available these days, your biggest challenge is going to be resisting them all! Toy retailers are great at pinpointing the right toys for certain Children age groups, and you can always check the label to make sure the toy is age-appropriate.

Keeping in mind some of the following might also help make that job a bit easier…

Think about childrens' toys that are going to be easily held in your baby’s tiny hands, or that can rattle and shake without any effort. Toys that make sounds, show pictures or enact simple movements and actions can be a great way for your baby to start fun learning. Letters and numbers incorporated into toys is another way to put the entertainment into early education.

Avoid toys that might easily break, that could suffocate or choke your baby, or that are easily swallowed by your baby.

When your child starts getting older and the toys become more sophisticated, it’s important to steer clear of toys that contain lead (children can absorb up to five times more lead than adults) or toxic paints.
