For over twenty years Bugaboo have been revolutionising the pram market with their iconic, fashion-forward prams that make life on the go a whole lot easier.
But after a string of impressive collaborations with designer labels including Diesel, Bas Kosters, Missoni and Marc Jacobs, it’s time for Bugaboo’s in-house design team to take centre stage as they introduce the Atelier Collection, a limited-edition for the Bugaboo Cameleon3 and Bugaboo Buffalo.
Showcasing Bugaboo’s own artistic talent and refined design expertise, the limited-edition Atelier collection has been crafted with the upmost of precision to provide a range that is truly the epitome of elegance.
Inspired by French Fashion:
According to Bugaboo Senior Product Developer Barber Ebbinge, the first inspiration for the new Atelier Collection came during a trip to the fabric trade show Premiere Vision in Paris.
“We were really taken by classic combinations of simple colours that stand out. Their looks have something modern, yet hint to a style that is timeless - maybe even something you’d call old-fashioned – but it works really well” She says.
The result? A chic and timeless blend of modern elegance, perfect for those parents who want something different to anything else on the market.
The Difference is in the Details:
Quality is of the utmost importance to the Bugaboo team, with designers upholding the highest standards to please even the most critical of eyes. Consequently, painstaking attention is given to each and every detail.
After all, it’s not just the look of the pram that needs to be perfect - every step in production, every stitching technique and every fabric panel needs to meet the exceptional Bugaboo standard.
Stylists like Barber work together with fabric engineers to evaluate the prams construction, drawing on over two decades of experience to continually tweak and transform the pram into something totally new and exciting.
“We wanted a chicer look for the sun canopy trim, something that would coordinate very well with the woven stone mélange fabric - We considered several options before we came to black leather-look” Barber explains.
“We also knew the underseat basket would look best in black, but when we first saw it on the pram - we thought ‘this looks boring’. We added trim in stone mélange to the Bugaboo Cameleon³ Atelier, as a sort of mirror image to the trim on the seat. Then we saw the strong silhouette we were looking for, that striking contrast between black and white”.
The All-Important Finishing Touches
From the leather-look details to the rich, melange fabric, every element of the Atelier collection has been considered to create a stunning statement piece.
As a finishing touch the Bugaboo Cameleon³ Atelier Collection features a hand-stitched leather-look handle bar and carry handle, along with a great range of other key features including:
- New stone melange fabrics – unisex and suitable for all seasons
- Leather-look trim
- Quilted black seat liner
- Black chassis
