Cranmore Home | Meet Tracy

Cranmore home is filled with a beautiful range of homewares, furniture and lifestyle products that will transform any room into a stunning space

Furnishing a house can be difficult at the best of times, but trying to decorate a 1909 family farmhouse while remaining respectful of the original stonemason work and history of the property is for some impossible. For Tracy Lefroy however, this desperate search for unique, Australian designed homewares and furniture revealed a hole in the market which inspired her to create Cranmore Home.

Coming from a farming heritage, Tracy has never been one do to things half-heartedly. In 2005, she was awarded with a prestigious Nuffield Australian Farming Scholarship and has since focused on her role as partner in Cranmore Farms, a 6000ha cropping and livestock farm, while not only raising three small children but also founding and running Cranmore Home, what is now a very successful homewares and furniture business filled with stunning pieces carefully curated by Tracy.

It was the connection to her family home, which has been with the Lefroy family since its beginning, and her frustrating experience as a homewares customer in 2009 that inspired Tracy to bring Australian designed homewares and furniture to the people of her home town.

“In trying to source products for my home I became frustrated at the lack of availability of quality, well-priced Australian-designed products. I soon realised that there was an absolute hole in the market. I stopped searching shops and began looking for makers whose design ethos resonated with my own” Tracy says.

“A gorgeous girlfriend of mine suggested that the brands I was collecting would work well for a shop. Somehow, her well-meant comment ended up in both of us running a pop-up event in 2011 with my entire house being styled and merchandised”.

Today, Cranmore Home has evolved from a once-off pop up shop to an online business, a retail shop in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, a roving pop-up shop throughout regional WA as well as host for a Winter Workshop series, a series of hands- on studios held at the farm that give customers a chance to connect with and learn from Cranmore Homes.

All Cranmore Home products and brands have been carefully researched and selected and all embody quality and functionality as well as timeless beauty, they will last you a lifetime and hopefully beyond.

“I feel so privilege to stock the amazing artists and brands that make-up Cranmore Home” Tracy says.

These brands include Armadillo & Co, Hale Mercantile, Hayden Youlley Designs, Hunting for George, Milk & Sugar, The Beach People.

Tracy is still constantly inspired by her home and its incredible surroundings.

“I am very proud of being based in regional Australia” she says.

“The beautiful surroundings provide me with great inspiration and the remoteness is a key driver of my business model with the majority of my clients being web-based”.
