There is no better place to play around with colours and patterns than in a child’s room and this space mixes and matches to absolute perfection!
This amazing room was designed by Melbourne based kids interior specialist Nicole Rosenberg from Little Liberty for one of her clients.
For Charlotte, 2, the highlight of her new room was undoubtedly her “big girl” pink bed. Lower to the ground it is the perfect height for children transitioning from a cot to a bed like Charlotte. Upholstered bedheads are a huge trend in children’s design for 2017 and this Scandi-inspired bedhead from Peoni Home demonstrates how they can be implemented without being too grand or over the top.
An assortment of textured pillows on the bed adds a fun and playful touch to the bedroom. An easy and relatively inexpensive way to jazz up a room, pillows now come in a huge variety shapes, sizes, colours and materials and look great when mixed and matched. We particularly love the playful cat pillow and have a feeling it may just become Charlottes new snuggle buddy!
Another big trend in children’s design this year is vintage feel and we love how this vintage inspired wallpaper has been worked into what is otherwise a fairly modern space. Giving the room a sense of old-school whimsy, the wallpaper gives the room an elegant feel while also injecting additional pops of colour and fun.
Agnes Avenue have done it again with this beautiful beanbag. Much more comfortable than traditional designs, it provides Charlotte with the perfect place to read a book with Mum or Dad or just sit back and relax (it can be tough being a 2 year old after all).
The perfect mix of fun, elegance and whimsy, we know Charlotte is going to love spending time in her very own “big girl” bedroom.
