1. When did your passion for interiors & design begin?

I think I have always had a love for interiors and design. My parents built a few houses when I was growing up so I was always around paint selections, colours, home design magazines, house plans... From about the age of 10, I can remember camping out in my room with the IKEA catalogue delivery and tagging and circling all the things I wanted for my room and future house. My bedroom always had some kind of furniture rearranging or new feature wall colour going on!

2. You are expecting your first child! How did you begin planning your nursery?

I'm a big Pinterest fan so that was definitely my first stop! Collating images of nurseries and decor that appealed to me allowed me to step back and really identify what kind of overall look I was wanting to achieve.

3. How would you describe the theme of your nursery?

I wanted to create a nursery that would evolve with my child. At the moment I would define it as a soft, scandi-inspired theme. I envisioned the space to feel calming and safe, and as baby grows I will add to the use and feel of the room.

4. What were the first 3 products you purchased for your nursery?

The cot was the first thing I purchased - I knew this would be the starting point for the rest of the room. I also went with a gender-neutral cot as we didn't know what we were having at that point, and I can use it again in the future.

I'm big on storage so the next thing was a toy bag as teddies & toys started to get purchased once we announced our pregnancy news.

Once we found out we were having a girl I purchased a canopy to tie in with my theme. As this is a large item I then could plan the layout of the remaining furniture & wall fittings around the canopy.

5. You purchased your cot through Tinitrader! How did you find the experience?

I purchased my cot on pre-order and was kept informed the whole way through of the status of my order and the team were really helpful and quick to respond with any queries I had.

I found Tinitrader fantastic for comparing a wide range of cots and ones I hadn't seen in my local stores also.

6. What are your favourite Instagram accounts to follow for inspiration?

@misskyreeloves - Kyree has an amazing ability to balance her interiors and flat lays just perfectly!

@oh.eight.oh.nine - Tarina's interiors are always the right combination of textures and colours, and her photography skills are incredible.
