Tinypeople is made for creative, stylish little souls.
The Byron Bay boutique is a mecca for doting adults and little people with an eye for design and a flare for fashion.
Cutesy, prim and proper have no place at Tinypeople. Instead, this ultra-contemporary space is all about edgy, fashion-forward, trending pieces that are hot right now in Europe.
It’s where you go to shop without clutter and confusion.
The minimalist store makes it easy to really delight in finding those spot-on pieces that won’t be replicated everywhere else. A fun little kids’ area with tables and colouring-in keeps kids entertained. That leaves space and time for grown-ups to enjoy discovering the very latest threads, shoes and accessories by top kids’ fashion designers around the world. The catch – you’ll want one of everything in adult size!
Naomi from Tinypeople took over the store about 18 months ago, and it’s been a whirlwind ride ever since as customers around the country and overseas come to her for their child’s fashion fix.
The store marked a new beginning for Naomi and her family, who had returned to Australia after following the snow lifestyle in New Zealand. Previously a senior corporate in the banking world, Naomi and her husband Charlie (whose work involves high volumes of travel) were concerned about the lack of time they had available to spend as a family. They sought a solution in New Zealand, but with two young children it was time to return to Australia and be closer to the family network.
Through their daughter and son Naomi and Charlie knew there was a market for mid to high end exquisite children’s fashion, and they now have that filled from baby through to 14 year olds.
The store has always loved Munster and Minti, but it (and only one other store in Australia) also stocks labels such as stunning hand-made pieces from Spain’s MAA, and the divine Louis Louise from France. It’s these rare treasures that makes Tinypeople so special.
Naomi and her team have a wonderful eye for styling. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Captain and the Gypsy Kid and they have several customers who come for not only the right item, but the right advice on how to work it into the overall wardrobe.
But it’s not just about fashion and accessories at Tinypeople. There is also a range of simply stunning toys, including kiko+ and gg from Japan – handmade pieces that will last beautifully through childhood and no doubt become those special memory makers.
Tinypeople is bliss. It’s the answer to your search for that something special, in that shopping environment that’s a pleasure.
As we said – the only problem is they don’t have sizes big enough for us!
