We were fortunate to interview a talented mother, Anna Jones from Twentyone Fifteen to find out more about her inspiring business.
Anna wanted to work on something that was creative and that could fit in around family life. When she saw a gap in the market for product with a tactile, hand-made feel, a curated sense of design and some longevity she was inspired to start Twentyone Fifteen and create these stunning handmade, wire décor pieces.
Whether you’re after something to decorate the walls for your little girl’s palace or cheeky boy’s pirate domain, you’ll be sure to find a piece from Twentyone Fifteen to brighten their rooms.

Tell us about your business, how it started and why?
My business focuses on handmade wire décor pieces, sculpted and wrapped with specially sourced fabrics from Liberty Prints, sequin & vintage denim – so hopefully there is something to suit everyone’s style / taste.
The idea for the business came about when I noticed that there might be a gap in the market for handmade wall décor that would suit a nursery as much a child’s room.
Can you share a defining moment in your business journey?
I’ve had a few defining moments as all my business first’s have been biggies, ranging from my first order, through to my first press & first wholesale order.
What inspired you to take the plunge?
I really wanted to work on something that was creative that I could fit around family life. I saw a gap in the market for product with a tactile, hand-made feel with a curated sense of design and some longevity.
What do you love most about your business?
I love so much about my business. I love making & sending orders, receiving positive feedback & also love the friendships I have made with peers in the industry.
Can you share some words of wisdom?
Love what you do and don’t give up!
When I am not working, my favourite thing to do is…
Spending time with my boys & friends at the beach.
Can you share a behind the scenes look at your workspace?
While each design is quite minimalist, my workspace is anything but that! I have countless wire models and frames that I work on for ongoing orders and test new shapes. Alongside lots of wire are my trusty pliers and countless rolls of fleece, denim & sequin fabric everywhere!
Tell us about your family?
My husband is a Director and Photographer and we have 2 boys; Dylan (6) and Riley (3) who are both are bundles of energy that make sure there is never a dull (or quiet) moment in our house in Bondi Beach, Sydney.
What is your mantra for juggling family and work?
I still haven’t mastered it but I really think the key is to find balance and also try and be 100% percent on what I’m doing. So when I’m working I’m giving that my full attention and when I’m with the kids they are my sole focus.
Best thing about being a mum is…
What does a typical day look like for you?
There is definitely no such thing as a typical day, but on a day-to-day basis it’s the constant juggle to (trying to) balance family life with dealing with emails and orders.
In terms of down time, we live across the road from Bondi Beach so I try to beach run a few times each week, and once the kids are in bed my husband and I love a glass of wine, chocolate and a good HBO series.
How do you achieve downtime? And what do you enjoy doing most in this time?
Downtime is definitely nights out with my husband or my girlfriends.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to find that sense of balance that I spoke about earlier, and also hope to expand the business into other new and exciting areas.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I’m always on Instagram and Pinterest. I also love looking though the latest Inside Out, Real Living and Porter Magazines.
What are your favourite instagram pages?
I have so many favourites – to list a few;
Lester Jones Photography (my husband’s page!)
Anna’s favourite things…
Cuddles with my boys
What are your favourite pieces in your home or workspace?
I do love my Enzo Mari & Rachel Castle artworks.
What is your favourite room in your home and why?
My boys room, its where I to hug up to them for night-time books, hugs & kisses, and where I sneak a peep at them sleeping before I go off to bed myself.
Where are your favourite places to shop?
I have a slight online obsession with ASOS, plus I love to look at inspiring homeware shops such as West Elm & Koskela.
If you could go back in time what piece of advice would you give your younger self?
Believe in yourself & keep going. Also, there is hardly ever a perfect time to start anything so just do it now & learn as you go.
