Welcome to Elissa from Little Green Footprints in Elsternwick! We sat down to have a conversation with Elissa to learn a little more about her store.
Where is your store located? What is special about the location?
272 Glen Eira Rd Elsternwick – It’s a central location with lots of families. We are one of the only brick and mortar shops in Melbourne specialising in modern cloth nappies and organic and eco friendly options for newborns and toddlers.
When did you establish your store?
What do you sell in your store? What are the main brands you stock?
We specialise in modern cloth nappies, including Issy Bear, Baby Beehinds, Nifty Naps, Baby Bare, Cushie Tushie, Hippybottomus, Green Kids & Enviro Nappies. We also stock eco friendly disposable nappies, organic cotton clothing and a huge range of organic baby skin care. We carry eco toys, sleeping bags and swaddles, bamboo cot sheets sets, nappy bags, David Fusseneger organic cotton blankets and are soon to be stocking the beautiful Samson & Delilah organic inspired clothing range.
What’s your favourite product in store right now and why?
I love our new Samson & Delilah Organic Cotton Blankets, they are a fantastic size blanket, made with beautiful organic cotton and I know my boys will snuggle up with them on the couch for years to come.
Why do people come to your store?
I aim to offer a one stop shop for organic and eco friendly solutions to many aspects of parenting. My love for cloth nappies is something I want to share with other mothers, showing how easy and rewarding it can be to not only save thousands of dollars over the first few years of a child’s life, but at the same time, doing something good for the environment and your child’s future. I also offer a huge range of practical and affordable necessities to help busy mums along the way.
What is the question you are most commonly asked?
How do these gorgeous nappies work?
What’s your best work perk?
My 12mth old son Toby is spoilt rotten.
